We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Dickinson, ND where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role includes care across the emergency department, inpatient areas, and some outpatient services for patients ranging from neonates to adults.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current North Dakota respiratory therapy license in good standing required at time of submission.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) verification required. (CRT accepted; RRT preferred).
• One year of clinical respiratory therapy experience.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required.
• Experience with MEDITECH charting system.
• Ability to perform ABGs, EKGs, and full respiratory therapy duties across age ranges.
• Must meet facility fit-testing requirements; candidates with facial hair must be able to pass designated respirator fit testing or remove facial hair.
• Candidates may not be employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within a 50-mile radius.

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS and NRP certifications preferred.
• Experience with PB980, Hamilton C1, and V60 BiPAP devices preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 0700–1900 and 1900–0700 (rotate days and nights).
• Weekend requirement: Every third weekend.
• Holiday coverage required.
• Orientation: 1–2 weeks of unit-specific orientation depending on experience.
• Travel requirement: Candidates may be the only RT in-house at times.
• Charting system: MEDITECH.
