Overview

A hospital in northern Arkansas is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 13-week night-shift contract. First-time travelers are accepted.

Schedule

• Shift: Night, 3x12 hours (7:00pm - 7:00am)

• Weekends: Every other weekend required

• On call: Not required

• Floating: As needed, within your scope of practice

• Block scheduling: Not guaranteed, but the facility is willing to discuss it during the interview

• Holidays observed: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients through labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period

• Monitor mothers and fetuses, and recognize and respond to changes in condition

• Assist with deliveries and provide newborn care and resuscitation as needed

• Document accurately and completely in the electronic medical record

• Educate patients and families, and communicate with the physicians and the care team

• Float to other areas as needed, within your scope

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license, valid in Arkansas (compact or Arkansas license)

• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience

• BLS certification

• NRP certification

Facility Requirements

• Locals are not accepted. Your permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.

• First-time travelers are accepted.
