We are hiring an experienced Travel L&D RN for a 15-week night assignment in Peoria, IL. This is a high-risk OB position at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 3 Perinatal Center, requiring strong L&D, high-risk OB, fetal monitoring, C-section, and newborn care experience.

2+ years of L&D experience preferred
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS required
NRP required
Advanced AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (AFM) required
High-risk OB experience required
Must be proficient with Magnesium and Insulin drips
Must be able to circulate C-sections in the OR
Must be able to recover patients in PACU
Must be proficient in newborn care following vaginal and cesarean deliveries

6 L&D triage rooms
18-bed antepartum unit
36 private postpartum rooms
Labor hospitalist in-house 24/7
Newborn hospitalists in-house daily with overnight NICU coverage
24/7 L&D charge nurse who does not take a patient assignment
24/7 house supervisor

High-risk pregnant patients
Vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Cerclage placements
1:1 for Pitocin inductions and active labor
2 RNs : 1 patient during vaginal delivery and C-section
1:1 PACU
1:3 L&D triage

RNs must be comfortable titrating:
Pitocin
Magnesium
Insulin
RNs must be proficient with advanced electronic fetal monitoring using Obix/Phillips monitors.

Block scheduling accommodated when possible
Every 3rd weekend
Night weekend requirement: Friday/Saturday
Float to Postpartum and Antepartum only
Postpartum assignment: 5-6 patients
Antepartum assignment: 3 high-risk intermittent EFM patients
No call or standby
Every other holiday may be required
