Travel RN - PCU (Progressive Care)

Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days or nights, 12-hour shifts

About the role

We're hiring a travel RN to join a progressive care unit. PCU patients need closer monitoring than a med/surg floor, but are not yet at ICU level. You'll work with a collaborative care team in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU patients, including cardiac, respiratory and post-acute cases

• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition

• Administer IV medications and manage central lines, drains and other devices as needed

• Assess patients, update care plans and chart accurately in the facility EMR

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy and the interdisciplinary team

• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)

• 1-2 years of recent RN experience, with PCU, step-down, telemetry or ICU experience preferred

• BLS required. ACLS preferred.

• Previous travel experience preferred

• Ability to float within the facility as needed
