About
Nestled in the foothills of the Allegheny Plateau in north-central Ohio, just an hour's drive from Columbus, Mansfield has lots to offer, including a connection to Hollywood. The city served as the primary filming location for 1994's Oscar-winning Shawshank Redemption, and the Shawshank Trail brings visitors to many filming sites like the Historic Ohio State Reformatory. The park includes a working farm, walking trails and the "Big House," built by Mansfield native and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Louis Broomfield.
