Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with holidays as needed to meet unit needs
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4-5 on 33-bed stepdown unit
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• First week classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts on the floor
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, IV antibiotics, and Insulin
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Float to MedSurg, Inpatient Rehab, or Skilled Care as needed
• Care for patients ranging from young adults through geriatrics with diagnoses including sepsis, STEMI, CHF, chest pain, stroke, renal failure, COPD, DKA, and complex medical issues
• Work with RT equipment including BiPAP and Airvo
• Use EPIC charting system
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Must maintain valid driver's license and live outside 50-mile radius
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
