Opportunity:

OUTPATIENT position

Job Details:

• Monday to Friday schedule from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• 8-hour shifts with consideration for 10-hour shifts for PT travelers
• Unit: PT/OT/ST (Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy/Speech Therapy)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and California license for PT, OT/ST
• EMR system: Cerner B (upgraded version)
• Dress code: Burgundy polo or long sleeve shirt, black pants, and shoes
• Floating requirements: OT (IP/OP/HH), ST (primary OP required with geriatric and pediatric experience, ideally Vital Stim), PT (inpatient acute hospital)
• General department orientation with skills checklist and assigned clinician
• Patient population: IP adult and geriatric population (orthopedic, neurological, medical, pulmonary complications), OP pediatrics to geriatrics diverse patient population
• Specializations: OT hand therapy component, ST pediatrics component
• Work at off-site outpatient center (2.5 mile distance, 8-minute drive from main facility)
• Hospital cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a 189-bed hospital featuring specialized units including ICU, telemetry, medical, surgical, and mother and baby units with an average census of 150 patients. The facility maintains JCAHO certification for Stroke (NIH certified), Total Joint Program for elective hips and knees, and an early mobility program with vent early mobility level 2. The rehabilitation services department includes comprehensive therapy teams with inpatient and outpatient services, home health capabilities, and specialized programs including wound care therapy and diverse patient care ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
