Opportunity:

Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Details:

• Work blocked Monday-Friday shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating night call requirement
• Every 3rd weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:4 during day shifts
• 40 hours of unit orientation required
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Travel experience required - unit does not accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ARRT N, CNMT
• Experience with Siemens equipment required
• Epic and Pyxis system experience required
• Skills in venous blood draws, IV starts and maintenance, and handling radioactive materials required
• Must be proficient in various nuclear medicine procedures including bone scans, brain scans, cardiac studies, and SPECT imaging
• Experience with gastric emptying, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, and thyroid studies required
• Work with adult and pediatric patients in clinic and hospital settings
• Must complete lab testing within 48 hours of signing
• Cannot work more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week due to fatigue policy
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No floating requirements

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive nuclear medicine department providing advanced diagnostic imaging services to both adult and pediatric patients. The department features modern Siemens equipment and offers a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac stress testing, bone imaging, and specialized scans. The facility maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes Epic electronic health records and Pyxis medication management systems to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
