Opportunity:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Job Details:
• Day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in an 8-hour shift format
• No block scheduling available
• Weekday call required after 4:30 PM on a rotating basis
• Rotating weekend call requirements
• Rotating on-call schedule for holidays
• May be floated to a sister facility approximately 6.5 miles away
• Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying imaging procedures
• Average of 5 to 10 scans or studies performed per day
• Department operates 1 scanner/room
• GE equipment used within the department
• Charting system: Cerner; Imaging systems: Radnet and Merge Unity
• Lead technologist supervision available on-site with in-house radiologist support
• IV starts are not required for this position
• Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized in this department
• Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, CA NMTL
• Teal scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
• Acute care setting
• BSN not required
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a dedicated nuclear medicine department equipped with GE imaging technology and supported by an in-house radiologist. The department performs a wide range of imaging studies including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting and Radnet and Merge Unity for imaging, maintaining a high standard of diagnostic care for its patient population.
