Opportunity:

OT - Pediatric Feeding

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 shifts Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (Wednesday off)
• Start and end times may vary approximately 30 minutes due to paperwork at the clinician's discretion; patient care hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 20-week assignment
• No on-call requirements; may be called off based on patient volume
• Hours are guaranteed after the call-off policy has been met
• Will spend 1 to 2 weeks at the Plaza location for orientation and training
• Assess and treat pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties as primary focus, with possibility of general pediatric developmental occupational therapy coverage
• Independently evaluate and treat a full caseload of patients with primary diagnosis of pediatric feeding disorder
• Common diagnoses include: Pediatric Feeding Disorder, Oral Aversion, Feeding Difficulties, Dysphagia, ARFID, Failure to Thrive, Autism, Developmental Delay, Motor Delay, Fine Motor Delay, Sensory Processing Difficulties, and varied genetic and developmental diagnoses
• Treat patients ranging from 8 months to adolescent age (experience with 18 months and older required; 8 months and older preferred)
• 1.5 years of experience required
• Experience in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties required; experience with swallowing disorders preferred
• Children's hospital experience preferred but not required
• Experience in pediatric general developmental occupational therapy required
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program required, OR Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program if graduated prior to 2004
• California OT License required; may use 60-day rule to practice in CA while obtaining CA license if currently licensed in another state; must be willing to obtain CA license upon offer
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NBCOT, California OT License
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Any color
• Free traveler parking available
• Maximum of 6 days of RTO; must be confirmed upfront
• Required to work 2 out of 3 holidays
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
