Opportunity:
PET Technologist
Job Details:
• Work 5x8 hour shifts with varying start times between 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM and ending times between 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• No holiday work required
• On-call is not required
• May be required to work Saturdays twice per month if needed for PETCT scans due to equipment issues or excessive backlog
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Level 1 and Level II trauma experience preferred
• Siemens equipment experience required
• Agency must provide radiation badge - facility does not provide radiation badges to travelers
• Required certifications: BLS, NMTCB(N) or ARRT(N), NMTCB(CT) or ARRT(R) or (CT), SCRQSA (State License) in Nuclear Medicine and Radiology or Computed Tomography
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Dress code: Teal scrub top with black pants
• Work with patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform various nuclear medicine procedures including PET scans, bone scans, cardiac studies, and other specialized imaging
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• Block schedule accommodations possible with prior approval but not guaranteed
• All RTO must be included at time of submission
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams

This teaching hospital is a 865-bed Magnet-designated Level 1 trauma center that provides comprehensive medical services and advanced imaging capabilities. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and maintains high standards for patient care across all departments. The nuclear medicine department performs a full range of diagnostic imaging procedures using state-of-the-art Siemens equipment, serving patients from neonates to geriatrics with various imaging needs.
