Opportunity:

RN - Neuro Rehab

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday coverage based on unit coverage needs
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for RNs, 1:8 for techs
• Must have strong Med/Surg experience required, rehabilitation experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMS Lab on day 1 of orientation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Floor-specific orientation of 2 shifts
• Must maintain sterile field competency
• Floating required to any Med/Surg unit
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Scrub color requirement: slate grey
• Care for 90% neuro population in low stimulation environment including TBI, brain tumor resection, CVA, lung transplant, and liver transplant patients
• Must be comfortable with high level of communication and personal involvement with patients and families
• Provide acute Med/Surg care including IV therapy and wound care
• Work with interdisciplinary team rounds and therapy schedules of 5/7 days, 3 hours per day
• Average length of stay 19-21 days
• Busiest times 6-9 AM and 6:30-9 PM

The organization maintains high standards for patient care with dedicated rehabilitation physicians who round daily and comprehensive interdisciplinary team approaches to patient recovery.
