Opportunity:

MS-Tele Float

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Float within Zone 4 covering a 60-mile radius around Garden City, KS
• Required to float between three facilities: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Work 6-9 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Alaris and EPIC experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must be willing to titrate Heparin drips
• May float to various acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units
• Float assignments include multiple specialties: Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including post-surgical patients
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with flexible assignment options
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Rare call or standby requirements for low census
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Must obtain housing that accommodates floating within full 60-mile zone
• Week of orientation required in-state
