Opportunity:

TRAUMA/ORTHO/MED-SURG

Job Details:

• Work on 7A floor in Main Tower caring for 36 patients total
• Nurse to patient ratio of 6:1
• Day shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs and 1 secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 3 LPNs, 3 PCTs
• Every other weekend shifts required
• On call shifts when census is low
• Float to units 6A, 3A, 3South, 4South as needed
• Work with medical equipment including IV pumps, Wound Vacs, SCD pumps, Kangaroo Pumps, Chest Tubes, Telemetry, PCA pumps, Bipaps, Epidurals
• Perform wound vac changes, wound care, IV insertions, and insertion of indwelling Foley catheters
• Med-Surg experience required
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and be a team player
• Prioritization and time management skills preferred
• Required certifications: Active Nursing License, ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Ceil Blue scrubs, no sweatshirts, no crocs
• Must be willing to work collaboratively as part of healthcare team
