Opportunity:
RN - Trauma ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Self-scheduling system managed by unit manager based on unit needs
• 4 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU
• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old with trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest
• Work with advanced equipment including CVPs, IABP, Impella, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, and Zoll-Thermoguard
• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must pass open-book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score
• Artificial nails prohibited for patient care staff
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Must be located more than 50 miles from facility
• Use EPIC charting system
