Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage required if it falls within blocked schedule
• Will consider blocked scheduling arrangements
• Float to Medical/Surgical and Swing bed units on the same floor
• Must have 2 years ER experience and previous Medical/Surgical experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS (preferred)
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 12-hour shift orientation provided for day and night shifts
• Work with 4 beds and 2 trauma bays treating average of 10 patients per day
• Function as charge nurse taking patient assignments
• Read own telemetry strips using Mindray monitors
• Handle ER holds intermixed within the emergency department
• Work with separate psychiatric/seclusion rooms available
• Use Point Click Care (PCC) charting system
• No call or standby requirements
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

This critical access hospital operates as a Trauma Level IV facility with STEMI receiving and Stroke designation capabilities. The emergency department features modern equipment and specialized areas including trauma bays and psychiatric seclusion rooms. The facility maintains a collaborative healthcare environment with ED physicians on staff and provides comprehensive emergency services to the local community with a focus on quality patient care and safety.
