Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours per week for 8/10-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage and call requirements can be discussed with manager
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and to sister facilities within 20 miles
• Must have 18 months of experience in specialty (2 years preferred)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS and BLS, Certified or Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred, RCIS also preferred
• Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Free parking in unrestricted spaces
• EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with 2 attempts maximum
• Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized upon assignment confirmation
• Modules average 6-15 hours and are non-billable
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Scrub procedures and maintain sterile field
• Equipment setup and room circulation
• Work with cardiac implant closure devices, stent placement, and IABP placement/removal
• Interpret dysrhythmias and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
• All RTO must be included at time of submission

The facility utilizes EPIC charting systems and maintains comprehensive cardiac services with specialized catheterization lab capabilities.
