Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for both day and night shifts
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must be competent in arterial lines
• Required to titrate drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
• Must read and interpret telemetry strips
• Floating required to MedSurg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• One day of unit-specific orientation
• Pass/fail exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% passing score required
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes if called back from on-call status
• Care for adults with cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, and renal failure conditions
• Work with overhead lifts, portable lifts, vein finders, and bladder scanners
• Must be a team player with flexibility, adaptability, and strong communication skills
• Experience with diverse cultural populations including Hispanic and Somalian patients
• Chart in EPIC system
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility location
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Artificial nails prohibited in patient care areas
