Opportunity:
Radiation Therapist - Float Coverage
Job Details:
• Work 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling options
• Schedule options include 5x8 shifts (Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, occasionally 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM) or 4x10 shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM with 30-minute lunch)
• Float between two clinical sites in the Wilmington area (approximately 30-minute drive between locations)
• 13-week contract assignment only
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• No call, float, or weekend requirements
• Up to 7 days RTO maximum with auto approval (excluding holidays)
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Required to participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• No orientation needed - start directly in clinic
• Minimum 2 years experience required
• Will accept first-time travelers
• Required certifications: ARRT T, BLS
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Work alongside MD and RN staff throughout the day
• Will not be expected to cut blocks, perform CT sims alone, or perform dose calculations
• Experience with ARIA system, Varian linacs, IMRT, radiation safety, and various treatment modalities required
Facility:
This healthcare organization operates two radiation therapy clinical sites in the coastal region, providing comprehensive cancer treatment services. The primary facility features 3 Varian linear accelerators and one CT simulator, while the sister location has one Varian TrueBeam and a Siemens CT simulator. The facilities maintain a daily census of approximately 110 patients and provide interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, social services, and transportation assistance.
