Opportunity:

Cath Lab RN

Job Details:

• Work 4 nine-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Approximately 15 call shifts every 6 weeks with 30-minute response time
• Some weeknight call approximately 10 per month
• Weekend call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) about every 3rd weekend
• Holiday call required but shared amongst staff - 1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Catheterization lab experience required, IR experience preferred or willing to learn
• BSN degree not required
• Circulate and monitor cases during pre and post procedures
• Handle pre-procedure and post-procedure patient calls
• Work with STEMI, NSTEMI, pacemaker patients, and IR patients in combined lab setting
• Utilize Epic EMR system, MacLab, and Siemens equipment
• Wear provided blue scrubs
• May float within zone if extreme need to other facilities within 60-mile radius
• Orientation conducted over several days following facility orientation
• Work in 2-suite lab handling average of 4 cases per day (combination of cath and IR)

This healthcare facility operates a modern catheterization laboratory with 2 suites handling both cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. The facility maintains 24/7 cardiac services with cardiologists available in-house during the day and on-call overnight. The combined cath/IR lab provides comprehensive cardiovascular care including emergency STEMI interventions, pacemaker procedures, and various interventional radiology services, utilizing advanced technology and Epic EMR systems.
