Opportunity:
Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Job Details:
• Work in an outpatient/rehabilitation clinic setting treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
• Evaluate and treat patients to help improve mobility, function, and strength
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries
• Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
• Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, and authorizations
• Must be proficient in ICD-10 coding and familiar with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' compensation, private, auto, liens, and cash pay
• Must be able to make independent decisions regarding patient care
• Involved in business marketing and referral process when necessary
• Must be physically mobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10 hour work days
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers, mobility, and walking safety
• Computer skills required including typing, Microsoft Word, Internet, and EMR systems
• Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of California
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Continuing Education courses preferred
• No travel expected for this position
