Opportunity:
Occupational Therapist I/II / Advanced Occupational Therapist I/II
Job Details:
• Provide quality occupational therapy services to a predominantly Native American population
• Serve patients ranging from birth through geriatric with developmental, cognitive, mental, emotional, and physical disabilities
• Regular work week schedule with weekend services not currently available
• Assess and interpret evaluation/test results and determine treatment plans in consultation with physicians
• Document all patient care services in electronic health records (EHR)
• Provide specialty services including custom orthoses, sensory integration, cognitive treatment, and activities of daily living
• Conduct specialty clinics including Spinal Cord clinic, Functional clinic, Geriatric clinic, and Assistive Technology evaluations
• Maintain Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE accredited school required
• Valid, current, full and unrestricted license from American Occupational Therapy Association and Arizona Department of Health Licensure required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist required
• Must have strong orthopedic skills as majority of patients are orthopedic cases
• Must meet Medical Staff credentialing requirements
• Orientation provided every 2 weeks
Facility:
This JCAHO accredited health center serves a 4,400 square mile area and operates as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed facility was constructed in 1975 and provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. The facility performs approximately 49% of surgeries as outpatient/ambulatory procedures and maintains a diverse medical staff including various specialists and comprehensive nursing services.
