Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 for days and nights, must be able to take 6 patients
• High turnover on day shifts - when you discharge patients, you will receive new admits
• 1 year of Med Surg experience required
• Must have experience with EPIC documentation system
• Must be comfortable with bedside shift report and proactive patient rounding
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Must be able to titrate drips including Heparin, and work with set rate drips like Bumex and Lasix
• Navy blue scrubs required
• 1.5 shift orientation period
• Weekend and holiday requirements as needed
• May float to IMCU for Med Surg assignments
• Call requirement only for low census/cancelled shifts
• Experience with assigned shift (days vs nights) required
• No self-scheduling for travel RNs, blocked scheduling may be accommodated
• Expectations include teamwork, helping answer call lights, and working well with CNAs
• Care for patients with diagnoses including pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, alcohol withdrawal, respiratory viruses, and surgical patients from orthopedic, general surgery, spinal surgery, and urology procedures
