Opportunity:
RN: L&D Mother Baby FLOAT
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3 shifts or 48 hours for 4 shifts per week
• Float between Labor & Delivery, Mother Baby, and OB Special Care units based on census needs
• Weekend requirement: work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Antepartum experience required
• Experience with facility births/month 100-200 required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: State license, BLS, AWHONN (Advanced or Intermediate), NRP
• C-EFM or AWHONN intermediate/advanced certification preferred
• 24-hour orientation provided
• Scrub color: Hunter Green
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide care for mothers and newborns including labor and delivery, postpartum care, and newborn assessments
• Work with high-risk obstetric patients in a regional referral center setting
• Utilize AWHONN staffing model and Baby Friendly protocols
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of profile submission with 5-day maximum policy
Facility:
This healthcare facility is a 632-bed short-term acute care hospital with Magnet designation, teaching status, and Level 1 Trauma center accreditation. The Labor & Delivery unit features 12 LDRs, 3 operating rooms, 6 OB triage beds, and 8 OB Special Care beds. The Mother Baby Center has 34 rooms and maintains Baby Friendly Recognition. The facility serves as the regional referral center for high-risk obstetric care and utilizes the AWHONN staffing model. The hospital offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
