Opportunity:
Unit Notes:Medical Solutions Pre-Screens, if clinical recommends send to manager for approval to offer
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (possibly 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks (2 weekends per month)
• Holiday coverage based on unit coverage needs
• 2-day floor-specific orientation required
• 1:4 patient ratio in 12-bed emergency department
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail requirement)
• Must maintain sterile field competency
• Navy scrubs required
• Natural hair color required with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Float to Litchfield FSED and Glendale FSED as needed
• Perform all labs, EKGs, patient transport, and transfers
• EMR system: Cerner
• Telemetry equipment: Phillips
• May serve as charge nurse with no patient assignment when census exceeds 20
• Work with PCTs and Paramedics as support staff
• Treat lower acuity patients (ESI 3-4) including abdominal pain, headaches, and stabilize/transfer critically ill patients
