Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Primarily work within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with a 5-bed capacity
• Periodically float to ED, Med/Surg, or Pediatrics in case of low census
• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages and their families
• Perform after-hours recovery of post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
• Work independently following doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies
• Minimum 3 years of prior ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Must hold a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) in any U.S. state, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA must be completed within 6 months of hire
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) must be completed within 6 months of hire
• Shared contractor housing available; no pets or family members allowed

Facility:

This JCAHO accredited health center provides services to a 4,400 square mile area and serves as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. With a bed capacity of 73, the facility offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. The medical staff includes a wide range of specialists, and the nursing team consists of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, CRNAs, and other healthcare professionals dedicated to serving a culturally diverse community.
