Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: Day shift 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or Night shift 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
• Every other weekend requirement (Night weekends: Friday/Saturday/Sunday; Day weekends: Saturday/Sunday)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 (1:4 if COVID patients)
• Work in 18-bed unit with all private rooms due to infectious disease protocols
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Must have strong knowledge in Medical/Surgical nursing, infectious diseases, and isolation precautions
• Care for patients with infectious diseases including COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and other isolation cases
• Remote telemetry monitoring from 3rd floor with monitors at desk (RNs do not read or interpret strips)
• No cardiac drips - may titrate Heparin and other typical Med/Surg IV medications and antibiotics
• Floating required to any Med/Surg units as first priority
• Royal blue scrubs required (scrub jackets must also be royal blue if worn, no hoodies or sweat-jackets)
• 2-day orientation: 1 day EPIC training, 1 day floor orientation with preceptor, independent on day 3
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
• Subject to call-offs for low census depending on contract terms

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a specialized 18-bed Medical/Surgical Infectious Disease unit featuring all private rooms to accommodate isolation protocols. The facility maintains 24/7 charge nurse coverage and is staffed with 3-4 registered nurses per shift, supported by 2 certified nursing assistants. The unit is equipped with remote telemetry monitoring capabilities and respiratory therapy support for patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, or high-flow oxygen therapy.
