Opportunity:
Operating Room RN Circulator
Job Details:
• Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures as their advocate in the operating room
• Manage overall nursing care in the OR and ensure a safe and sterile environment
• Coordinate the surgical team and maintain accountability for supplies, equipment, and documentation
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, consent, and history while performing preoperative assessments
• Prepare OR suite with necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to procedures
• Monitor and maintain aseptic/sterile technique and report any breaks in technique
• Manage non-sterile aspects of procedures including opening sterile supplies and handling specimens
• Account for all sponges, sharps, and instruments through surgical counts
• Continuously assess patient status, vital signs, and physiological responses
• Accurately document nursing care, medications, implants, supplies, and patient responses
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours surgical emergencies
• Work in general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, endoscopy, and minor trauma cases
• Minimum 1-2 years of Operating Room experience as a Circulator strongly preferred
• Current unrestricted RN license required (compact nursing license accepted)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (or obtain within 6 months)
• PALS and CNOR certifications preferred
• Graduate of accredited ADN or BSN program (BSN preferred)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in fast-paced environment

The facility maintains high standards for patient safety and care while operating with a close-knit, multidisciplinary team.
