Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown/MedSurg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Friday, Saturday, and Sunday schedule
• Weekend agency RN positions available
• Expect to work approximately half of all recognized holidays
• No call or standby requirements
• Nurse to patient ratios: 3:1 for step-down patients, 6:1 for med-surg patients
• Must have EPIC experience - required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Dress code: Any combination of royal blue and white scrubs
• First priority for floating to other floor/step-down units
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week assignment, 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Flex unit serving both floor and step-down patients based on patient and hospital needs
• Care for diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses
• Titrate drips including heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, phenobarbital, ketamine, and pain management PCAs
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilators
• Remote telemetry surveillance available - RNs not required to read their own strips
• Open to both new and experienced nurses who can handle assigned patient loads

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a newly constructed 29-bed step-down/medical-surgical unit scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2026. The facility operates with modern equipment including Phillips telemetry monitoring and EPIC charting systems. The unit maintains 24/7 charge RN and house supervisor coverage, with clinical associates providing additional support at a 1:10 ratio. The facility emphasizes quality patient care with remote telemetry surveillance and comprehensive respiratory support services.
