Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM (4x10 shifts - Day shift)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6-8 on-call shifts per month, which may include weekends
• 2+ years of OR experience required plus Epic EMR experience
• Specialty experience with robots, general, trauma, orthopedic, vascular, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, and thoracic procedures
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), and VA State License or Compact license
• No float requirements
• Must work with Epic EMR system
• Dress code requires blue scrubs per facility dress code policy
• Work in a 495-bed facility

This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical services department with advanced technology and diverse specialty procedures. The facility maintains high standards for surgical care and utilizes Epic EMR systems for patient documentation. The surgical department handles a wide range of procedures including robotic surgery, general surgery, trauma, orthopedics, vascular, gynecology, urology, bariatrics, and thoracic cases, providing extensive learning and professional development opportunities for surgical nursing staff.
