Opportunity:

7NE - Ortho/Tele

Job Details:

• Work weekend day shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 22-bed orthopedic/telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Must have strong orthopedic experience, specifically with total joint replacements (not just fractures)
• BLS certification required
• Care for patients with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements and fractures
• Telemetry monitoring available but RNs are not required to read strips
• No drip titration responsibilities
• Unit orientation consists of 1-2 shifts
• May float to other units including 7E, 7W, 10W, 10E
• Charge nurse available 24/7 with CNA support (3 CNAs per shift with 1:7-8 ratios)
• Royal blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Expected to work holiday rotation
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Must have driver's license with address outside 50-mile radius from facility

This Level 1 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with specialized orthopedic and telemetry units. The facility maintains high standards of patient care with 24/7 charge nurse coverage and appropriate support staff ratios. The organization utilizes EPIC charting systems and provides thorough orientation programs for new staff members.
