Opportunity:
Radiation Therapist - Outpatient Oncology
Job Details:
• Work 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling options
• Choice of 5x8 hour shifts (Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, occasionally 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM) or 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM with 30-minute lunch)
• 13-week contract assignment
• No call or weekend requirements
• Floating required between two clinic locations approximately 25-30 minutes apart
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Minimum 2 years of radiation therapy experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ARRT T, BLS
• Must be comfortable with adult acute care and radiation therapy procedures
• Skills required include CT simulation, IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, radiation safety, and use of ARIA system
• Work with Varian linacs and CT simulators
• Will not be expected to cut blocks, perform CT sims alone, or perform dose calculations
• Always paired with at least one other therapist
• Up to 7 days pre-approved time off allowed
• Must be available for storm/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events
