Opportunity:

RN - Pediatric ICU

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience required with previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:2 for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Average daily census: 2-4 patients in 6-room/6-bed unit
• Weekend coverage required to meet unit needs
• Floating required to NICU or units within skill set with orientation provided
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Care for pediatric patients including infants, children, and adolescents
• Handle pediatric critical care cases, ENT, general surgery, orthopedic, and post-op/pre-op patients
• Perform breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPap, high frequency vents, oscillators
• Administer procedural sedation and RSI rapid sequence intubation drugs
• Provide tracheostomy care and ventilator management
• Administer blood/blood products and monitor CVP
• Manage drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, PICC/central lines, Port-A-Cath devices
• Handle syringe pumps, traction/halo/pin care, triple lumen catheters, and wound vacs
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NRP
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• CRRT experience preferred
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Staff self-schedule first with travelers meeting unit needs
