Opportunity:

Med Surg ICU RN

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (radius rule applies)
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Artificial nails prohibited - removal required or contract termination
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, PCU 1:4-5, MS 1:5-6
• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old
• Manage patients with neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, renal failure
• Required to titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Work with equipment including CVPs, Alines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, Zoll-Thermoguard
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger monitoring system
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Use EPIC charting system
• Interview with unit leaders required

The facility operates as a fast-paced acute care environment with volume fluctuations, offering comprehensive services including neuro interventional programs with thrombectomy capabilities, advanced cardiac support, and specialized equipment for complex patient care. The organization maintains a collaborative team environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care while working alongside attending physicians and training programs.
