Opportunity:

Step Down Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 24-bed unit with 1:3 or 1:4 patient ratio depending on acuity
• Care for patients with dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary conditions, sepsis, high flow oxygen needs, and behavioral patients requiring IV drip medications
• Manage various medication drips including dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amiodarone, dobutamine, and nicardine
• Work up to every other weekend
• High throughput environment typical of step down units
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN degree not required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• License submission required
• Cancellation policy: 3 shifts per 13+ week contract or 2 shifts per 12 week or less contract
• Educator on unit works closely with staff for support and development
