Opportunity:
ICU RN Position
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Two weekend shifts required per pay period
• Night shift position with first priority for floating assignments
• Work in multiple critical care areas: CVICU (12 beds), COVID ICU (8 beds), MS ICU (8 beds), and PCU (16-20 beds)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 in ICU based on acuity, 1:3-4 in PCU
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
• Float to PCU, MST, and EC ICU/PCU as needed per staff rotations
• Titrate critical care drips including pressors, paralytics, sedation, and anti-arrhythmics
• Care for patients with COVID, post-surgical conditions, cardiac procedures, CRRT, ventilator management
• Experience required with EKG interpretation, ventilator weaning/troubleshooting, and ABG interpretation
• IABP and Prismaflex CRRT experience preferred
• Handle fresh open heart patients if experienced with cardiac surgery skills
• Monitor telemetry strips independently using Nihon Khoden monitors
• Professional scrubs required in any color except camouflage
• 8-hour general orientation plus 1-2 shifts with preceptor/buddy system
• Use Cerner charting system
• Holiday requirements include one winter holiday and eve of another
• May be placed on call during low census periods
