Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required with Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro experience; must have experience in two of the four modalities
• 18 months of experience in specialty required, 2 years preferred
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• Call requirement based on unit need, will be discussed with manager on a case-by-case basis
• Float required within scope to meet facility needs across 3 hospital locations (within 20 miles of each other)
• Block scheduling not available
• Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS; RCVT or RCIS preferred
• Charting system experience required; EPIC used at facility
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Parking: Free in any unrestricted space
• EKG and pharmacology test required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
• Time-sensitive modules must be prioritized upon assignment confirmation; modules average 6-15 hours and are completed pre-start and annually
• Skills required include: diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, interpretation of dysrhythmias, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, sterile field maintenance, room circulation, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
