Opportunity:
Department: MedSurg Oncology | RN
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Holiday requirement and standby for low census required
• 32-bed unit with nurse to patient ratios of 4-6:1 on nights
• 2 years of nursing experience required with medical/surgical experience mandatory
• Must be competent with chest tubes, central lines, and heparin drips
• Required certifications: BLS (ONS, CHPN, and OCN preferred)
• Floating requirements to Heart Center, General Medicine, Post-Surgical, and Ortho-Neuro
• Two 12-hour orientation shifts required
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation during first work week
• No self-scheduling or block scheduling available
• Work with medical oncology patients performing general assessments, IV starts, portacath access, and medication administration
• Chemo experience may be required depending on specific assignment needs
• Use EPIC charting system
• Scrubs required in any color, natural hair colors only, no visible tattoos above shoulders, only nose stud facial piercings allowed
• 50-mile radius restriction for local candidates
• Non-Oregon licensed RNs eligible for 90-day temporary license
