Opportunity:

Department: MedSurg Peds RN

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with day/night rotation
• Weekend coverage as needed
• First to float to ED/ICU for 1:1 patient assignments as needed
• No holiday requirement
• Self-scheduling available
• 17-bed unit with 14 inpatient beds and 3 observation beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4, Nights 1:5
• Care for adult and pediatric patients with diagnoses including UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD
• No drip titration required - manage electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics at set rates
• Charge nurse takes patient assignment on each shift
• Work alongside 2 nurse aids on days (1:15 ratio) and 1 nurse aid on nights
• Apply telemetry monitors to patients and read strips
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS
• Navy blue scrub color required
• One 12-hour orientation shift (additional day/night orientation if needed)
• Must pass fit testing requirements - facial hair restrictions apply
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• BSN not required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
