Opportunity:
Travel RN Operating Room (701)
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Three twelve-hour shifts per week with weekends required
• On-call required averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week sign-up period
• Possibly 15 call shifts per month with call frequency varying monthly
• 13-week assignment length with ASAP start date
• Alaska permanent RN license required for submission
• Required certifications: Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS
• Experience needed in Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotics
• Must function as patient advocate and circulator while being a resource for the sterile field
• Preferred experience as both circulator and scrub
• CNOR certification preferred
• Typical procedures include total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General)
• Very little ENT, Dental, Eyes or plastics procedures
• Patient ratio 1:1 in 11 operating rooms
• Day shift averages 8 RNs, 8 Scrub techs and 5 Surgical support techs
• Night shift has one charge RN and one scrub tech in house with call team backup
• EMR system: Epic
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Must have positive outlook and willingness to work with team members
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates an 11-operating room surgical department located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building. The facility specializes in complex surgical procedures including total joint replacements, multi-level spine fusions, and advanced robotic surgeries using Xi Robotic technology for gynecological, colorectal, and general surgical cases. The organization utilizes Epic EMR system and maintains comprehensive surgical support with dedicated nursing staff, scrub technicians, and surgical support technicians across different shifts.
