Opportunity:
RN MS/TELE STROKE PMC 5 TOWER 2021-0500
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts on various days of the week
• Patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights (ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs)
• Float within scope to meet facility needs and may float to sister facilities
• 2 years acute care experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years RN acute care experience
• Weekend coverage required per unit needs
• 7 weekend shifts required per contract
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, CPR, CO or Compact RN license
• Epic charting system experience required
• Navy scrubs required
• Care for stroke, COVID, and medical surgical patients
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO blackout periods apply during peak times
• Must complete facility-specific modules within first week
• Must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios
• No on-call requirements
• Skills required: MS/Tele, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, airway management, isolation precautions
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a 30-bed medical surgical/telemetry stroke unit serving adult and geriatric populations. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 34 patients and utilizes Epic charting system for documentation and patient care coordination.
