Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for day shift
• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
• Multi Care Unit with combined acuity levels (ICU, PCU, MST) on one unit - no floating between units
• 10-bed unit with ratios depending on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6, or 1:3 if no nurse aide
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med Surg from larger facilities
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Responsible for taking 12-lead EKGs and monitoring ICU patients via bedside cardiac monitors
• Float requirements include EC MST, Pediatric unit for adult MST patients, and West Campus in Prescott for ICU/PCU
• Standby rotation required during low census periods
• Charting system: Cerner
• Any scrub color allowed except camouflage
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if under 13 weeks)
• Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory conditions, COPD, pneumonia, DKA, and post-op complications

This acute care facility features a unique Multi Care Unit that provides comprehensive care across multiple acuity levels within a single 10-bed unit. The facility offers advanced cardiac monitoring with remote monitor technicians and respiratory therapy support including ventilators, BiPap, and CPAP equipment.
