Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day and night shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Every 3rd weekend requirement and rotating holidays
• Self-scheduling allowed but agency staff schedule last
• Patient ratios: 1:2 standard, 1:1 for higher acuity patients
• 2 years ICU experience plus 1 year travel experience required
• Must have Cerner charting system experience
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must be proficient in rhythm interpretation and read patient strips independently
• Required to titrate all ICU drips including propofol, precedex, vasopressors
• Care for patients with respiratory, stroke, neurological, GI, cardiac conditions
• Work with advanced respiratory equipment including vents, BiPAP/CPAP, vapotherm, trachs, nitric
• Subject to floating to like units or as patient observer within hospital
• No specific scrub color required - clean and professional attire
• One day hospital orientation plus two days unit orientation
• Must clock in and out at facility
• Trauma Level 2 acute care setting

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates a 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit providing critical care services for high-acuity patients. The facility maintains a Trauma Level 2 designation and features comprehensive ICU capabilities with 24/7 respiratory therapy support, pulmonologist attendings with resident teams during the day and night coverage, and advanced life support equipment. The unit is supported by dedicated nursing staff and utilizes the Cerner electronic health record system for patient documentation and care coordination.
