Opportunity:

Tele - 2 South - 2F/Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday for night shift)
• Rotating holidays including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years
• Potential charge nurse shifts based on comfort level and unit needs
• 5+ years RN experience required with charge experience mandatory
• 1+ year of travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Nurse to patient ratio 1:5 for telemetry patients, 1:3-4 for stepdown patients
• Care for patients with telemetry monitoring needs, post-catheterization, medical/surgical conditions, and respiratory difficulties
• Must be comfortable with basic dysrhythmia interpretation and telemetry strip verification
• Responsibilities include IV placement, medication administration, heparin titration, and drawing labs from central lines when ordered
• Navy blue scrubs required (self-provided)
• May float to comparable or lower level units as needed
• 3-day orientation process with first day being education modules and shadowing, second day orientation, third day independent
• Block scheduling and self-scheduling available depending on unit needs
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment or 1 shift for shorter assignments

The facility maintains comprehensive support services including 24/7 hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, unit-based pharmacy services, and cardiac monitoring technology with both hardwired and portable telemetry capabilities. The organization emphasizes quality patient care with appropriate staffing ratios and modern equipment to support diverse patient needs.
