Opportunity:

2YR/1ST TIMERS OK - ICU RN - Req 10216

Job Details:

• Float between units as required
• Work every other weekend
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• 48-hour shifts are approved
• Self-scheduling system
• 6 weekend shifts required per contract
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• 12 hours of orientation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• At least 1 year ICU experience required
• Cardiac and neuro experience preferred
• General surgery and trauma experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management
• Skills required: arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
• BiPAP/CPAP management and ventilated patient care experience required
• Must be able to interpret arterial blood gases and perform suctioning
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols required
• Dress code: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs for licensed nursing personnel
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Compact license must be in hand at submission

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates 379 staffed beds and maintains Level II Trauma Center designation. The hospital provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The facility specializes in trauma care, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, and neurological cases, utilizing advanced equipment such as ECMO, Impella, IABP, and CRRT systems. Free parking is available for staff in designated employee/visitor parking areas.
