Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend as scheduled
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:6-8 on night shifts
• Must have 1 year of nursing experience minimum
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required to titrate drips including heparin, bumex, and lasix (no cardiac drip titration)
• May be floated to other Medical-Surgical, MS-Telemetry, or Intermediate Care units for lower acuity patients
• Subject to floating and shift pull rotation requirements
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• Must maintain 50-mile radius rule compliance
• Required certifications: BLS and RN License
• Can take PCT class to become PCT or can have CNA certification
• Scrub color requirement: Navy blue for RNs
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• 2 days of orientation: 1 day educator/computer system, 1 day with preceptor
• Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls/weakness
• Monitor telemetry patients with support from monitor technician on level 5
• Cancellation policy: Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks

This acute care facility features a 48-bed unit providing comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry services. The facility utilizes EPIC charting system and maintains dedicated respiratory therapy staff to manage breathing treatments, inhalers, ABGs, and respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen. The unit is supported by patient care technicians, monitor technicians, and charge nurses to ensure quality patient care.
