Opportunity:
L&D RN
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 night shifts per week for 13-week assignment
• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks with ability to be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• 2 years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
• Charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Alaska RN license required - pending license okay for submission but must have license in hand for auto offer
• Must be able to complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility (no locals accepted)
• May float to like units within scope to meet facility needs
• Work in high-risk L&D unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms
• Handle average of 7 daily deliveries with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum
• Manage OB triage with 4-5 third trimester testing patients plus influx of triage patients daily
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 2:1 during day shifts
• 36 hours of orientation required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Hepatitis B vaccine required (no titers or declination accepted)
• Two professional references required covering 1 year within last 3 years

The facility features a comprehensive obstetrics program with state-of-the-art equipment and specialized units for high-risk deliveries. The hospital provides extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
