Opportunity:

Acute Care OT

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts providing occupational therapy services
• Start date: ASAP
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required
• California OT license must be in hand
• Guaranteed hours with facility able to call off once per two-week pay period
• Must be willing to float between all facilities within the state
• Provide evaluation and treatment for general acute care patients with various diagnoses including general surgery, orthopedic surgery, hip fractures, dementia, and ADL deficits
• Focus on ADL and upper extremity assessments with functional outcomes
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• LA fire card within the last 30 days required
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 16 hours pre-start and annually
• Two references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This acute care hospital is a 212-bed community-based healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical services to patients with diverse diagnoses. The facility utilizes Epic charting systems and offers free parking for staff. The hospital maintains a supportive environment for occupational therapy services with focus on functional outcomes and patient rehabilitation across multiple specialties including general surgery and orthopedic care.
