Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Inpatient and/or outpatient experience required
• Select and perform evaluation and treatment methods correlated to patient age, diagnosis, symptoms, and physician orders
• Orient patients and families to the purpose and procedures of therapy evaluation and treatment
• Provide appropriate patient education, family teaching, and support related to the needs of the patient and family
• Coordinate treatment schedules with disciplines using appropriate scheduling procedures
• Monitor program effectiveness and outcomes, initiating and developing new programs as needed
• Perform pain assessments and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedures
• Obtain and document all required and pertinent patient information including precautions, orders, and initial plan of care
• Participate with interdisciplinary team in the development and documentation of discharge plans
• Identify significant changes in patient condition and take appropriate actions through reporting, staffing consultations, and documentation
• Provide clinical supervision to OTAs in a collaborative manner following state licensure and care delivery standards
• Required certifications: Occupational Therapist licensure (North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy), OTR/L (NBCOT), Basic Life Support - BLS (AHA)
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
