Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No call or standby requirements
• Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab may be required
• Care for adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring conditions
• Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
• Work with nurse aids/patient care techs with 1:10 or 2:20 ratios
• First week onboarding followed by 1-2 days of floor orientation
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Artificial nails are prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Use EPIC charting system
• Fast-paced environment requiring positive attitude, communication skills, and critical thinking
